Wood-Ridge pursuing smokefree parks policy

Wood-Ridge Council in Bergen County has introduced legislation to make all public parks, playgrounds, ballfields, swimming pools and plazas owned or leased by the town smokefree. The ordinance also includes a defined setback-zone in that smoking will be prohibited within a 35 foot radius of the entrances to municipal buildings.
