Two state bills would make state parks smokefree (Burlington County Times)
Posted on
Two New Jersey bills introduced in June would ban smoking in state parks and in parks that receive green acre funds. Many municipal and county parks receive green acre funding, so these local and county parks would be included in the green acres bill. The 2 bills (S2872/A4319) would require all State parks and recreational areas be smokefree, and 2 other bills (S2873/A4318) would make communities smokefree if they get green acres funding. Read a July 8 Burlington County Times article about the proposed bill.
