Trenton NJ Considers Smoking Ban and Enforcement

Trenton city officials are postponed the introduction of an ordinance that would limit smoking in public places as they cited a need to discuss ways to effectively enforce the law.
The ordinance up for consideration this time would prohibit the smoking of cigars, cigarettes, pipes and electronic cigarettes in city parks, recreational areas, city facilities and inside city vehicles.
Councilwoman Verlina Reynolds-Jackson, a proponent of the measure, discussed the ordinance stating that “We just want to improve the quality of life in people’s neighborhoods.”
