Star-Ledger Wants Flavored E-cigs Banned in NJ (Star-Ledger Editorial Board)
Posted on
On February 3, 2016, the NJ Star-Ledger published an editorial to call for a ban on the sale of flavored e-cigarette products. That editorial supports NJ Senate bill S-298 sponsored by Senator Joseph Vitale that was introduced on January 12, 2016.
The Editorial Board sources to many articles, including a recent federal report that e-cigarette use in middle school and high school ages tripled in from 2013 to 2014. They also note the increase in the number of vape shops has also greatly increased across the state, and that these devices are not safer than traditional cigarettes.
