Smoking now banned in Trenton’s municipal parks (Star-Ledger, Christina Rojas)

On June 16th, 2015, the Trenton City Council approved a ban prohibiting the smoking of cigars, cigarettes, pipes and electronic cigarettes in city parks, recreational areas, city facilities and inside city vehicles. The smokefree zones will be required to have smokefree signs posted under this new policy.
Violators will be subject to fines between $50 and $100 for the first offense, with increasing amounts for the second offense and subsequent offenses. The ban will be enforced by the city Health Department.
