Smokefree Parks bill (A1080) passes Assembly in New Jersey (4 earned media)

On April 25, New Jersey State Assemblywoman Valerie Vainieri Huttle held a press conference in Fort Lee advocating for the adoption of smoke free parks and beaches in New Jersey. The Assembly passed A1080, a bill banning smoking at public beaches, and its companion bill is awaiting a hearing in the Senate. Assemblywoman Huttle was joined by Fort Lee Mayor Mark Sokolich and other community officials who either were considering the adoption or a smokefree parks policy or had recently adopted one.
