According to the Philadelphia Inquirer’s August 6, 2015 story, the Philadelphia Housing Authority’s new smokefree public housing policy took effect on Wednesday, August 5th, 2015. However, two properties indicated that they like more information on the new policy, and help with implementation.
Nichole Tillman, the Philadelphia Housing Authority’s spokeswoman, wrote in an e-mail that the Housing Authority is “committed to continued collaboration with residents and resident leadership to achieve a smooth transition to a smoke-free environment.” Resident task forces and communication with property managers are part of that effort.
