On May 15 2014, New Jersey Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. called on chain pharmacies across the country to follow the lead of CVS Caremark and stop selling cigarettes and other tobacco products in their stores. Pallone has been an advocate for pharmacies limiting tobacco sales; last month he wrote to the National Association of Chain Drug Stores, urging their member retailers stop selling cigarettes and other tobacco products in their stores.
