New York City proposed ordinance mandates 100% smokefree parks

On September 15, 2010, New York City’s Mayor Bloomberg and NYC City Council Speaker Quinn held a press conference, announcing a proposed ordinance to mandate 100% smokefree city parks. This includes all public parks, beaches, boardwalks, golf courses and pedestrian plazas under the auspices of the NYC parks department.
