Maywood Council Introduces Smokefree Parks Ordinance

On April 8, The Maywood Council introduced and voted unanimously in favor of an ordinance that bans smoking in public parks and recreation areas. Mayor Gregg Padovano gave reasons for why this ordinance was adopted, citing concern over littering, secondhand smoke, and setting a positive example for children.
