Highland Park’s Mayor and Council unanimously voted through an ordinance that will require retailers of e-cigarettes and related products obtain a license from the local health department to sell their products. Councilman Josh Fine was a leading supporter, and noted that existing vape shops will not be grandfathered in. The ordinance takes effect on July 1, 2016 and the annual license fee per store is $600.
