A new study published in the journal Environmental International was conducted by scientists from the United Kingdom and Spain. They tested dust from homes where one or two parents smoke inside. The dust was tested for carcinogenic toxins, and the results found that thirdhand smoke contributes to increased toxins in the home that increase cancer risks for children.
