President: Fred M. Jacobs, MD, JD served as the Commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services from 2004-2008. Dr. Jacobs served an instrumental role in the passage of the 2006 New Jersey Smoke-Free Air Act and other key tobacco control initiatives. Dr. Jacobs also served as Chair of New Jersey Breathes, a statewide tobacco control coalition. Dr. Jacobs retired on December 31, 2011 from his position as Executive Vice President and Director of the Saint Barnabas Quality Institute; Dr. Jacobs was with Barnabas Health for more than forty years. On February 27, 2012, Dr. Jacobs was appointed by St. George’s University to the Chair of the Department of Medicine, and University Executive Vice President, which is his current position. Dr. Jacobs also served as President of the New Jersey State Board of Medical Examiners from 1993-1995. |

Vice-President: Omowunmi Y. Osinubi, MD is a leader in research, teaching, writing, and lecturing in the area of secondhand smoke exposure in occupational settings. Dr. Osinubi is board certified in preventive medicine, with a sub-specialization in occupational and environmental medicine. She is President of Occupational & Environmental Health Associates, Inc., she is an occupational and environmental medicine physician the Veteran’s Administration War-related Illness and Injury Study Center, in East Orange, NJ, and an adjunct associate professor at the Rutgers School of Public Health. |

Secretary: Neal Collins, MD is currently the Senior Medical Director Immune-Oncology for EMD Serono Merck. Prior to his current position, Dr. Collins served as Medical Director – Oncology Medical Affairs, for Astra Zeneca, he also served as Senior Medical Director of Pfizer’s Global Medical Oncology division. Prior to his 15 years at Pfizer he worked at Merck where he was part of the launch team for many vaccines, including the chicken pox vaccine, VARIVAX, and the hepatitis A vaccine, VAQTA. Before joining the pharmaceutical industry Neal practiced Internal Medicine at St. Vincent’s Hospital and Medical Center of NY where he was an Attending Physician and taught clinical internal medicine. He has also served as a Councilman and member of the Board of Health for Chatham Borough, NJ. He also serves on the Board of Trustees of the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School Alumni Association. |

Treasurer: Vince Altomare joined the Board of Trustees in November 2014. Practicing in Public Accounting for 36 years, he currently operates his own Public Accounting firm since 1978. |

Executive Director: Karen Blumenfeld, JD joined the staff and Board of Trustees in Spring 2008. She has worked with NJ GASP for 25 years, and continues in her role as Director of our Policy & Legal Resource Center. Karen is recognized internationally in tobacco control, especially in the emerging areas of smokefree casinos, and in protecting children and housing residents from secondhand smoke. |
