New Jersey GASP is a central actor in the pro-health, anti-tobacco community in New Jersey and beyond, in a leadership role on commissions and coalitions and as a grantee with government, foundation, and private funding for various services. Participations include:

  • the New Jersey Breathes coalition, charter member (the statewide, public-private partnership, at the Medical Society of New Jersey, funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation)

  • STAT (Stop Teenage Addiction to Tobacco), a national organization

  • the New Jersey State Commission on Smoking OR Health

  • the New Jersey ASSIST (American Stop Smoking Intervention Study) Coalition of the National Cancer Institute, the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services, and the American Cancer Society, New Jersey Division
