Welcome
to our website. We have been striving for smokefree workplaces,
public places, and schools, since 1974. In 2006 we won our
right to smokefree air through the passage of the New Jersey
Smoke-Free Air Act. We still need to protect people in their
residences, and especially children from the harm of environmental
tobacco smoke..
But
we need all the help we can get to change the image of secondhand
smoke from acceptable and only a minor nuisance, to the
danger it really is. Secondhand smoke kills more than 65,000
Americans every year. Even low exposures can trigger heart
attacks in people with heart disease.
The
more members we have, the more influential we can be. Therefore,
