Tobacco 21 passes NJ Assembly Committee (Wall Street Journal, Reporter Kate King; The Record, John C. Ensslin)

On January 7, 2015 the NJ Assembly Appropriations Committee voted through bill A3254/S602 which will increase the age of sale to 21 for tobacco and electronic smoking devices. GASP Executive Director Karen Blumenfeld, Esq. testified at the hearing, along with Dr. Robert Crane of Ohio, Phil Konigsberg of NYC and Judy Migliaccio of the Paramus Board of Health. The bill has already passed the NJ Senate, and the next step is for it to be voted on by the full NJ Assembly this Monday January 11, 2016.
