Proposed federal budget to cut tobacco control spending (NY Times Editorial Board)

On November 22, 20.15 the New York Times’ Editorial Board published an editorial in support of funding for federal tobacco control programs.
The New York Times editorial shared that the Republican-dominated House Committee of the United States has recommended two riders to the proposed federal appropriations (budget) bill that would cut in half the funding of tobacco control programs run by the U.S. Centers for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC), and would not allow for regulation of e-cigarettes and flavored tobacco products.
The U.S. Senate’s proposed appropriation bill does not have these riders. Read the full New York Times editorial.
