Hillsdale poised to raise age to 21 to be sold tobacco (Pascack Valley Community Life, Katherine Milsop)

Pascack Valley Community Life reported that Hillsdale is poised to raise the age of sale to 21 for tobacco and electronic smoking devices. The proposed ordinance passed unanimously on first reading.
At the first reading, Karen Blumenfeld, Esq. who serves as Executive Director of Global Advisors of Smoke Free Policy (GASP), addressed the mayor and council:
“We do believe it will save lives…And we do appreciate your interest in this particular policy to help young people not start to smoke,” Blumenfeld shared.
