On August 18, the Chicago Tribune’s Editorial Board published on OpEd to support tobacco 21 laws. Read the Chicago Tribune OpEd.
GASP note: Tobacco 21 support spans from the East Coast to Hawaii. GASP provided educational resources to all 12 NJ towns that enacted tobacco 21 laws, to NYC for its 2014 city law, to NY State which is considering it, and to Hawaii tobacco control colleagues (Hawaii is the 1st state in the Union to require age 21 for tobacco and electronic cigarette sales). In New Jersey, the bill to raise the age of sale from 19 to 21 for tobacco and electronic smoking devices passed in the NJ Senate. Stay tuned for updates in the NJ Assembly!
