Westwood Health Dept. Wants Tobacco 21 & Vaping Restrictions (Pascack Valley Community Life, Sarah Nolan)

The Health Department of Westwood, NJ, wants to change the borough’s tobacco laws to include vaping and to change the minimum age of sale to 21. Currently, the law regarding the sale of tobacco applies to the minimum age of 19 and does not include vaping. Councilman Chris Montana supports the restrictions on vaping, believing that the Health Department has “done a good job identifying the potential risk of vaping to the youth of Westwood.” The new ordinance is currently under review by the borough attorney.
