Store owners Mr. and Mrs. David and Renee Zallie decided to stop selling tobacco and electronic smoking devices at their two ShopRite stores located in Medford and Lawnside, NJ, as of January 1, 2015. Renee has a background in public health, and the decision is part of their wellness program that stresses a team approach with dietitians and pharmacists that offers quit smoking counseling sessions and resources to customers and employees who want to quit smoking. Both stores have a combined $500,000/year in cigarette sales.
