Sayreville, NJ Increasing Age of Sale for Cigarettes to 21

A new law in Sayreville, New Jersey will increase the age of the sale for cigarettes to those 21 years-of-age or older. Councilman David McGill introduced this ordinance as a way to limit access to cigarettes for young people. Retailers that are caught selling cigarettes to people under the age of 21 will be fined up to $1,000.
