Mount Holly considers smokefree parks ordinance

The Mount Holly Town Council is considering banning smoking in parks and playgrounds. The article points out that in Burlington County, Beverly, Burlington Township, Delran, Edgewater Park, Mansfield and Palmyra already have bans. Read an April 30, 2013 news story from the Burlington County Times in which Karen Blumenfeld, GASP’s Executive Director points out that “about a third of the state’s 566 towns have placed smoking restrictions at public parks and recreation areas.”
